With the support of our P and C we have invested into changing our library into a 21st Century Learning Environment to support our students and teachers. We believe this will enable our students to effectively meet the needs of the modern learner whilst enabling our teachers to support modern pedagogy.
We want our students to collaborate, create, critically analyse and connect with the new world. Our new library will be setting our students up to develop these skills.
We have created
- an open space with clearly articulated areas for learning,
- benches for laptops and individual research,
- rounded tables for collaboration work,
- a maker space and robotics area to develop creative and problem solving thinking,
- a reading area to develop 'love of reading' and
- tiered learning for direct instruction.
