Students at Narara Public School participate in 2 hours a fornight of Technology classes.
In today's world, where everything is becoming more digital and automated, it's really important for the economy, the environment, and society to use information systems in a fair and responsible way. This means understanding digital technology well and knowing how to deal with any risks that come with it. Things like smartphones, computers, and the internet are changing how we learn, relax, and work. They also help us collaborate and communicate in new ways, but using them well requires new skills like thinking in terms of systems and computers.
Learning about digital technology helps students influence how we use new and existing systems to meet our needs now and in the future. Understanding these systems lets students make smart decisions about using and managing data, information, and digital tools to create the future they want.
Studying digital technology also gives students the chance to be creative and come up with new digital solutions. They learn how to use technology effectively, create their own digital tools, and think critically about the information they find online.
In our classes, we give students real problems to solve that encourage them to be curious, confident, and innovative. These skills are important for understanding complex ideas and relationships, no matter what subject they're learning about.
